Muckflower was born of a passion for learning and growing. Specifically learning about how to reduce our carbon footprint & trying to create a life where nature and people can work together to impact our little part of the earth in a more positive way. By practicing new habits, a little every day and celebrating our successes, we begin to change the dirt to soil & the trash to treasure (composting) and increase our children's awareness that nature needs them as caretakers. With a coop full of chickens and garden that we try our best with, we are setting out to share our journey, failures and all with a hope of sharing information and tools with others to help them learn and achieve similar goals. Thank you so much for visiting our site and taking the time to read our story! Good luck to us all!
As a new business, we know we will impact the environment by purchasing supplies, causing some new packaging and transportation activity in the delivery of supplies & products. To help offset this as much as possible, we will be donating a portion of our proceeds to organizations that provide education about waste diversion, soil regeneration and sustainable living. We will also be purchasing carbon offset credits, which support projects around the globe, helping local communities restore ecosystems. It's not ideal to start a "sustainable business" which delivers products around the country creating emissions and waste stream that didn't exist before, but at least the impact of our business growth can create income for these projects to spread good and maybe one day there will be better delivery options available. More to come, we are a very new business, please check back later for hopefully lots of new info about our progress!
